Giving Back and Building Connections in 2024

As we look back on 2024, we’re inspired by the meaningful ways our teams – both in the field across the nation and at our corporate office in Avon, Minnesota—are deeply committed to making a difference. Whether it’s strengthening relationships, supporting local causes or creating lasting connections, we’re proud of the meaningful ways we’ve given back to the communities where we live and work.

Our giveback efforts focus on four key areas:

  1. Public Safety and Environment: We support organizations that work to keep our communities safer and healthier.
  2. Education: From funding school field trips to sponsoring STEM/STEAM and robotics clubs, we invest in building brighter futures for the next generation.
  3. Community: By contributing to food shelves, youth clubs, veterans' organizations and investing in civic improvements, we help create stronger, more vibrant communities.
  4. Human Trafficking Prevention: Our support extends to organizations like women’s shelters, offering safety and hope to survivors of trafficking and abuse.

Each act of generosity reflects our shared values and our commitment to progress—not just in renewable energy but in the lives of the people around us. Together, we’re proving that building a better future is more than the projects we complete; it’s about the communities we impact along the way.

The examples highlighted here offer just a glimpse of the generosity and teamwork that define Blattner’s approach to building stronger communities in 2024.

Powering Up for Veterans in Monticello, Indiana

Our solar project team in Monticello, Indiana demonstrated how renewable energy can power both communities and causes. Partnering with White County Veterans Services, a local organization dedicated to supporting veterans, the team took part in the HardCharger 5K Run, Walk and Ruck event to raise money for improving local facilities for those who have served. This initiative addressed immediate community needs and also underscored our commitment to honoring veterans through meaningful action. “As a team, we value this opportunity,” said Rita Finch, Site Safety Manager. “Supporting veterans is amazing and aligns with what we believe in here at Blattner. Being part of a company that values this is something special.”  Read more.

Supporting Care at Quiet Oaks Hospice House

QOaks2-2

Compassion and care were at the heart of our involvement at Quiet Oaks Hospice House, where various groups of Blattner’s field leaders in training gave back through landscape cleanup on the grounds and cooking for the resident families. When we learned that there was a need for a new emergency generator, our team went to work donating dollars and engineering skills to bring the project closer to reality. These efforts reflect the values our employees bring at every turn—ensuring dignity and support where needed most.  Read more.
